1. Connect the transceiver to a computer running Garmin device configuration software.
2. Open Garmin device configuration software and click on Menu 2.
3. Click on "Setup"
4. Click on "Transceiver Setup" and select "AIS600" from the list.
5. Click on "Test Transceiver" and observe that the
Status is green and the signal strength is good.
6. Click on "Save Configuration" and then close the configuration software.
7. Run the transmitter, then close the software and connect the transceiver to the computer again.
8. Open the Garmin device configuration software again and click on Menu 2.
9. Click on "Setup" and select "Transceiver Setup" and select "AIS600" from the list.
10. Click on "Test Transceiver" and observe that the
Status is red and the signal strength is low.
11. Click on "Save Configuration" and then close the configuration software.
12. Run the transmitter, then close the software and connect the transceiver to the computer again.
13. Open the Garmin device configuration software again and click on Menu 2.
14. Click on "Setup" and select "Transceiver Setup" and select "AIS600" from the list.
15. Click on "Test Transceiver" and observe that the
Status is green and the signal strength is good.
16. Click on "Save Configuration" and then close the configuration software.
17. Run the transceiver, and disconnect the transceiver from the computer.
18. Run the transceiver and connect it to the computer again.
19. Open the Garmin device configuration software again and click on Menu 2.
20. Click on "Setup" and select "Transceiver Setup" and select "AIS600" from the list.
21. Click on "Test Transceiver" and observe that the
Status is green and the signal strength is good.
22. Click on "Save Configuration" and then close the configuration software.
23. Run the transceiver, and disconnect the transceiver from the computer.
24. Open the Garmin device configuration software again and click on Menu 2.
25. Click on "Setup" and select "Transceiver Setup" and select "AIS600" from the list.
26. Click on "Test Transceiver" and observe that the
Status is green and the signal strength is good.
